Voorhees Craftsman Workshops Custom Highboy Dresser with Dragonfly Inlay of Curly Koa wood.

Voorhees Craftsman Workshops Custom Highboy Dresser with Dragonfly Inlay of Curly Koa wood in a custom "driftwood" stain color. This form is inspired from or a version of, a Gustav Stickley "nine-drawer" Harvey Ellis highboy dresser from the early 1900's, including the overhanging top, tapered legs and dramatic arches. The original Stickley dresser had nine drawers including 6 shallow drawers below the top. While the original is personally one of our favorite forms, the 6 shallow drawers are less functional, so we often take orders for fewer, deeper drawers. The wings are made from a luminescent small book matched piece of curly Koa wood from the Acacia family native to Hawaii. Available in custom sizes, wood selection, stain color, drawer configuration and traditional drawers or drawers with modern glides that slide effortlessly with just a touch.
